Feed supplement to optimise fertility of breeding horses Derbymed Fertility was specially developed to support the fertility of breeding horses. For broodmares, a good heat is a basic prerequisite for a successful pregnancy. The special composition bolsters the cycle and contains all important building materials to support healthy egg development. Derbymed Fertility provides nutrients to stimulate the ovaries and thus ensure good follicle formation. This therefore also benefits cycle-controlled processes in the uterine area, supporting the embryos in the early pregnancy stage in their development and implantation. The dry grape extract provides a high level of antioxidants to neutralise free radicals. These support the mucous membrane and thus ensure optimal egg nesting. The use of dry grape extract has already been proven in the livestock sector and can lead to a significantly increased mating rate due to the reduction of oxidative stress. Derbymed Fertility contains a high level of vitamin A, beta carotene, vitamin C and vitamin B11 (folic acid), which is important for good fertility. Furthermore, beta-carotene (β-carotene) together with the trace elements copper, zinc and manganese ensure that the mare‘s metabolism is optimally stimulated before and during insemination. For a breeding stallion, apart from his genetic disposition, the fertilisation rate is an important quality feature. Derbymed Fertility supports sperm quality and quantity. Dry grape extract helps in the reduction of oxidative stress due to the provision of highly available antioxidants that neutralise free radicals. This helps to increase sperm quality and therefore supports the overall fertility of a stallion.
